I am an experienced piano, music theory, and Mandarin teacher (fully DBS checked), currently based in Worcester, with over 20 years of professional teaching experience. I have a strong track record of teaching complete beginners as well as advanced students, including those preparing for Grade 8 and diploma-level examinations, and have a proven track record of guiding students to a high standard of technical proficiency and musical understanding.
My musical training is firmly grounded in the classical tradition, complemented by extensive experience in jazz and contemporary music. I have performed in bands and appeared at festivals and concert platforms, experience which informs an analytical, stylistically informed, and performance-focused approach to teaching.
